Privacy
Short version: BillboardMate counts how often banners are seen and clicked. It does not build profiles of the people who see them.
If you are a BillboardMate customer
- We keep your name, email address, plan, and the boards, banners and links you create
- Your payment details are handled by our checkout provider. We never see or store your card
- Your access key is stored only as a one-way fingerprint, so nobody at BillboardMate can read it
- We email you about your account and the service. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone
If you saw or clicked a BillboardMate banner
- Seeing a banner: we add one to a daily counter for that banner. Nothing about you is stored
- Clicking a banner: we record the time, which banner it was, the kind of place it was clicked from (for example "email" or "website"), the web page it was on if there was one, and the type of browser. We do not store your IP address and we do not set cookies
- You are then sent to the page chosen by the person who placed the banner. What happens there is covered by their privacy policy, not this one
Where it is kept
The website runs on Netlify and the database on Supabase, with data held in Australia and the United States. Both keep their own security and privacy standards.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
Customer accounts are kept while the account is open and for at least 60 days after cancelling, in case you come back. Ask us and we will delete your account and everything in it for good. Counts of views and clicks are not linked to a person.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@billboardmate.com. If you are in Australia you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
